Jean was born in Taiwan. Her family moved to the United States when she was 12 in search of a better education and improved standard of living. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, she continued her education and obtained a MSBA all the while being diligent in practicing the path of a layman Buddhist. Her studies have taken and exposed her to both the Mahayana and Vajrayana practices.
Buddhism to her is the cultivation of the mind whether it is freedom from attachment, realization of emptiness, or action guided behavior to benefit others, which all involve mindful engagement with the world surrounding you. As such, she routinely volunteers in various activities while holding a full-time position in the pharmaceutical industry. Buddha Dharma is everywhere and pervasive as long as one knows where to look.
